Anti-smoking hysteria hits halls of higher learning - Columns - The Telegram

You know anti-smoking hysteria has gone too far when even centres of higher learning don’t have the courage or the integrity to resist jumping on the speeding bandwagon of blanket smoking-bans.

It's not often I read something I am in love with.

A group of high school students drafted the proposed ban, just like the ban in south portland. But unlike south portland, old orchard beach supports a large tourist-based business community, and those businesses are torn over the effect that a beach smoking ban could have.

Interesting.
Mostly because high school students are proposing these bans. When I was in high school all I cared about was going out and having fun.

I honestly didn't hate this article.
Was a decent read for a change, instead of something I immediately wanted to trash.
